3 Forest Land Protection Initiative New Protected Area: Forest Land Purchase & Ecosystem Restoration

Citizens Initiative for Ecosystems Restoration (CIFER), with the support of Bala Nelapatla of NVIDIA, has acquired 5 hectares of forest land from Nde Afi Community in Ikom Local Government Area, Cross River State, Nigeria.

Overall Objective:
To work in cooperation with the people of Nde community in protecting and conserving the biodiversity of 5 hectares of forest land acquisition by Citizens Initiative for Ecosystems Restoration (CIFER).

Purpose of the Reserve:
Conservation of biodiversity, protection of watersheds, promotion of ecotourism, and provision of recreational opportunities for the community.
